Jeremy practiced law for 5 years in Denver, Colorado with major firms and for 35 years in the Roaring Fork Valley. Jeremy is well known by the local District Court Judges and has associations with experts in the fields of business valuations, real estate and personal property appraisals, psychology, psychiatry, vocational evaluations as well as parenting evaluators who have been appointed by the Court to make recommendations concerning child-related issues.

Jeremy’s clients appreciate his compassion and understanding of not only their legal issues but also the trauma, disruption and emotional distress that his clients often experience as a result of a divorce or legal separation.  Although the majority of Jeremy’s cases are settled without having to go to trial as a result of his negotiation skills, Jeremy is an experienced and seasoned trial lawyer who has tried hundreds of cases over his 40-year career.  Jeremy vigorously represents his clients in Temporary and Permanent Orders Hearings as well as all phases of what he describes as the “divorcing process.”

Jeremy has represented clients in high-conflict and high-net worth cases, including several billion-dollar divorces, a divorce that required the valuation of 26 business interests in 17 states, interstate custody, child support and maintenance disputes, international custody and child support disputes and post-decree disputes involving claims of fraud and nondisclosure.  He also regularly represents clients with less complex and relatively straightforward family law matters efficiently and cost effectively.

Jeremy has also represented clients in the Collaborative Law process in cases with both child-related issues and complex financial issues.
